Principal

Medicine Lake School District #7 is currently seeking a Principal to assist the Superintendent in management of building operations for grades K-8.

The ideal candidate, at a minimum, will be able to:

  • Support teachers instructionally
  • Observe and evaluate staff members – providing constructive feedback on instructional practices
  • Manage student discipline issues that might arise
  • Assist the Superintendent is developing and monitoring District goal, vision and mission

The Principal position is .5 FTE. Suitable candidates for this position will also be able to do one of the following as a .5 FTE position:

  • Instruct FCS classes (certification required)
  • Teach Junior High/High School Social Studies classes (certification required)
  • Act as School Counselor
    • Applicants do not have to possess certification as a school counselor
    • Applicants who possess current teaching certification can be supported in the school counselor role by the Montana Small School Alliance
    • Districts with fewer than 126 students may utilize a consortium or interlocal agreement to obtain these services (10.55.710 ARM)

Medicine Lake Schools offers some the most competitive wages and benefits packages in Montana and a one-time $3000 signing bonus.

The District will provide rent-free housing to the qualified candidate. The District also operates a pre-school/aftercare program for students ages 3-5 that may be utilized by the Principal, free of charge.

Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, Medicine Lake Schools will be operating on a 4-day school week.

Special Education Teacher

Medicine Lake Schools is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher for the 2020 - 2021 school year. The ideal candidate will have Montana certification to provide specially designed instruction to students in grades K-12. The Special Education Teacher will be able to work collaboratively with the IEP team to ensure goals are designed to address the individual needs of each student, monitor those goals and provide instructional supports to students with IEPs as they work toward their goals.

Bus Driver-CDL

CDL Required. District will pay cost of all tests, physicals, etc. associated with obtaining the license. Pay is $25 per hour with a 4-hour minimum ($100 per day minimum).
