Medicine Lake District #7 is a K-12 public, rural, fully
OPI-accredited school. The Medicine Lake School District is
located in the town of Medicine Lake in Sheridan County.
Medicine Lake is located in the northeast corner of “Big Sky”
Montana with a population of 400. Medicine Lake is named for
Northeastern Montana’s largest natural lake, which features natural
beauty and wildlife. The nearby Medicine Lake National
Wildlife Refuge offers an opportunity for hunting, fishing, boating,
ornithology, and photography. The community of Medicine Lake
is very supportive of the school district, which is tremendously
appreciated. Medicine Lake is classified as a Class C school
district for participation in the Montana High School Association
activities program.

The Medicine Lake School District has 107 students enrolled for the
2011-2012 school year. The District employed 17 FTE teachers
for the 2011-2012 school year.
